Take turns drawing cards to create runs (such as 3, 4, 5 or 10, J, Q) and three or four of a kinds. You can either draw the last discard card, or draw from the pile. Win the round by either going GIN (Using all of your cards in matches or runs) or by knocking with fewer points left than your opponent. You can only knock if you have 10 or less points (deadwood) left in your hand (not including cards used to create matches or runs). Points are determined by the cards value. Say you knock with 6 points left, and the opponent has 14 points left, you will earn 8 points for the hand (the difference between both players leftover card values). If you can use all of your cards, you can go GIN which gives you 20 points, plus the value of the remaining deadwood that your opponent has. The first player to score 100 points wins the game.
